For this month, Expressions Club is challenging all expressive minds to create something December-related. Artists and photographers can submit images, while writers and poets can submit their stories and poems. The only catch: the work has to incorporate a finals or winter break in some way.

For writers, we also challenge the story to be only 100 words. Here is an example of a general 100-word story by Kailee Romero:

The cop siren screams as I scold Juan. He was strangely calm as he filled his backpack with Kinder Eggs.

“Andre, calm down. Just imagine the money we’ll make.”

“Is this worth the jail time!?”

Juan raised a Kinder Egg in front of my face as he let out a soft and low shh. I tore away at the crumbly foil. I opened the egg and let the toy drop to the dirty car floor. I took a bite of the smooth milk chocolate shell. We sprinted as the police cars come closer.
