I Can’t Stand

Look around you, look all around you

Find those who fall, kneel before you

Fill the eyes of many drip with terror

As child screams a prayer

You hold the life of many upon your palm

Left and right you pull the trigger, you become a human life bomb

Bigger and bigger you might even explode

Deaths by your hand

Can’t make life any more grand

To choose the right to bear arms

Lay a finger on a trigger that can harm

You still choose to shoot with your firearm

See

Accessibility

Is a responsibility

Bound to those who have social Mobility

Governments who choose to side with hostility

Sheltered by self fragility

To a high death toll of major cities

Become a social norm is quite a pity

Every hour becomes the right hand of death

Seven people die fast like a quick breath

Deaths by guns still exist to this day

For guns are “rights” protected by the NRA

The famous shot that took life of a Kennedy

To this day we remember Christina Grimmie

Mahatma Ghandi

Lives on in our hearts

For this gun situation is just a farce

Children who’ve died not by another

But those who share the same mother

Curiosity killed the cat

To children who accidentally trigger a gun just like that

Do we weep?

Or are we in too deep?

Columbine to Sandy Hook

The situation becomes more shook

I can't

I can't stand

That it can't be banned

Just lend me your hand

And we all can plan

To end societies shenanigans

I can't stand

No more will i stand

To protect those who can be harmed

By such firearm

May we find peace

To create such a lease

For those who never cease

To bear such arms

Do we continue to rearm

Those who continue to harm
