Poem 1
Stars
Could be brighter
On the other side
Of the moon.
I
Was wondering
If you could take
Me there soon.
They
Don't believe that
The sky has a
Star at noon.
We
Know better, for
The sun still shines
When night croons.
Starry sky, starry sky
Is slowly disappearing, but
I won't cry, I won't cry,
Because I know that you'll be
By my side, by my side
Falling in the endless
Starry sky, starry sky.
Stars
Could be dead by
Now, but we would
Never know.
I
Still count them as
Stars in the sky.
What a glow!
They
Would rather have
Lights of their own.
Theirs to grow.
We
Prefer to watch
The night sky, not
Their light show.
Starry sky, starry sky
Is slowly disappearing, but
I won't cry, I won't cry,
Because I know that you'll be
By my side, by my side
Falling in the endless
Starry sky, starry sky.
There she is--
Poetic monologue--
Counting all the stars in the sky
That would be there tonight.
I wonder
If she gets any sleep
From all the nights she spends outside.
Counting stars in the sky.
There she is--
Poetic monologue--
Counting all the stars in the sky
That would be there tonight.
If only
You could see all the stars
That are missing from the night sky,
Then you would be surprised.
